Just minutes from downtown Bellevue, this quiet property is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac. The owner worked with a landscape design student several years ago to transform the front yard from a high maintenance lawn to a low-maintenance and relaxing garden.

Initially, she called on Akina for help with pruning and clean up, and to tackle the empty bed space in the backyard. However, while walking the property with the owner, we determined that the front yard needed some rearranging and additional plants to provide consistency in the design. She also pointed out several plants that she really enjoyed and some that held special meaning for her, so we worked to highlight those plants. Our goal in the backyard was to mirror the design style and feel of the front yard, using plants that worked well in the varying shade/sun conditions.
